Derick Schaefer is the managing director of The Efficient Business LLC–an Internet marketing consultancy based in Dallas, TX. Since the fall of 2007, Mr. Schaefer has been a volunteer at the Collin SBDC in Plano, TX teaching classes and providing one on one counseling to small business owners looking to incorporate online marketing into their business strategy.

Mr. Schaefer holds a Batchelor of Arts Degree from the University of Texas at Austin and a Masters of Business Administration from the University of Miami. He has worked in the software industry for over 15 years including 10 years in a variety of leadership positions at The Microsoft Corporation.

In addition to work with the Collin Small Business Development Center, Derick Schaefer speaks on a regular basis for The State Bar of Texas.
